Poly/cotton is a generalised term for any fabric or textile, which is made using polyester yarns or fibres. Polyester is used in linings because it's smooth, durable and resistant. Poly/cotton fabric is used for a wide range of clothes, work overalls, bedsheets, pillowcases and table coths.

Twill is a type of textile weave with a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs.
